Harvest Shoot

Who doesn’t love fall, especially in apple country? I mean, really, there is inspiration everywhere you look.  The crispness of the air, the rustic color scheme, dried greenery and the promise of approaching holidays are enough to put anyone in the  mood to curl up, get closer, reconnect and unwind.

This week we teamed up with Kate Lemos Brown, Mabyn Ludke and the Lincklaen House in beautiful Cazenovia, NY to style a harvest-inspired dining experience with a little vintage flair.  Stay tuned as we share the fruits (no pun intended) of our collaborative energies in the upcoming weeks;  and be sure to check out lovewellpost.com Thanksgiving week for pictures, inspiration and DIY tips to recreate this fabulous look for your own holiday entertainment endeavors!

E-Session: Nicole + Brian

Nicole and Brian approached us just about a month ago to style their vintage train theme inspired love story engagement photos. Thrilled would be an understatement! Our large steamer trunk and vintage suitcases never disappoint! But the piece de resistance, the icing on our cake, our factory mover’s cart, no. 480! This sassy piece may be a bit rough around the edges to some, but for us, she was just right!

We had the pleasure of working with Caitlyn Bom Photography to capture this super creative engagement shoot. Here’s a sneak peek taken from our camera… more *better* photos to come from Caitlyn!

This couple belongs in a magazine!!!!

This couple was absolutely adorable. They laughed and giggled the whole time, completely in love. The best part… their faces when they saw our setup. It was totally priceless.

Garden Launch Party

There may be few who appreciate summer as much as Central New Yorkers.  As this summer drew to a close we decided to bring this business project that we’d been working on to some of our greatest supporters: our friends.  We hosted a launch cocktail party in one of the prettiest gardens in the area.  Among the flowers and statues we highlighted the beauty and function of some of our favorite pieces.

We could not have done it without the collaboration of a few key local vendors.  Local photographer and artistic genius Genevieve Fridley  has a point of view that perfectly suited our vision.  Her eye for detail doesn’t just capture the moment, but truly creates art.   Katie Lemos Brown, celebration consultant and author of the Lovewell Post , really gets us and what we are trying to do in bringing a vintage perspective to life’s special events.  She is behind the overall design concept of the event and was vital in coordinating all the vendors. Maria Giacona, from La Dolce Vita prepared the most amazing confections. They were stunningly decorated and the taste was to die for.  Whistlestop Florist  provided the flowers.  They were nothing short of fantastic!  The vibrant colors complemented our pieces perfectly.  Nanette & crew can really take a concept and run with it.  The results are always spectacular.

Was our little soiree a success?  We think so.  Everyone had a fabulous time.  Laughter rang late into the night and the feedback was just the encouragement we needed to move forward. The tandem bicycle may be everyone’s new best friend. Complete hit!

Meet our Tall Boy…

Part of the reason why we love this business so much is because it keeps us on our toes. We’re always on the hunt looking for the next best lovely, the piece that just needs some TLC or perhaps a new home with some friends. Our hearts skip a beat every time we find a piece that needs us to go the extra mile. Sander, paint stripper, perhaps some varnish, classy hardware. Whatever the case may be, there is always an opportunity.

Check out later blog posts to see how we bring this fabulous tall boy dresser back to life.  Picture this statuesque beauty with a drawer full of overflowing flowers, scarves or perhaps some comfy sandals for guests. How about a cake or candy display? The possibilities are endless!!
